If your a ***** and don't want to break things then don't race if. This is a pointless question that you could have answered yourself.

uhm...yes.

its a fricking race. it could be brand spanking never been run new and you could throw a rod the first lap for runnin to 10k so much. likely? no. but it is possible.

don't try and win the race if your so worried. ive seen odysseys at a track day before.

untill you're over 300k w/o a rebuild it all depends on the service record and current condition of the motor. i've got 240k original miles and i've been running it hard for the last 100k. but my car is in better shape (less likely to break...) than some neglected cars i've seen with less than 90k total.

and i'm with fv8s, you will break something eventually. if that's really a problem, racing maybe isn't your thing. but if it makes you sleep better, get a rebuild up on the stand and have it ready if you're low-mileage honda gives in early.

Beings it an NA motor and not a stock boosted block I would take it and run it into the ground. My Z6 that was originally in my car when I bought it (175k) smoked like a chimney above 4k and ate oil like a mother, I used to bounce it off the limiter trying to pop it and it wouldn't go. (I had a swap ready to throw in) Sold it to a buddy for $150, tore it down and all 4 cylinders had fried rings and scored walls. Still ran like a champ though.

After breaking stuff repetitively you become immune to the fact that you just spent all that money building it. After the second or third time you laugh at yourself.

I get pissed for a week and wanna sell the car, then after that its searching for parts and building it like its my first motor all over again. Viscious cycle. The block in my car right now has been boosted 3 times and NA 2 times. Next time its getting sent to laskey for sleeves.
