Default rebuilding my b18c5. need help on cam choice

So im going to be rebuilding my usdm itr motor and gonna use jdm itr pistons to bump my cr a lil and planning on throwing in some cams. I can't decide on which cams to get. I been looking at getting either buddy club spec 3+ or skunk 2 stage 2 tuners. Going to be upgrading to super tech valve springs and reusing my itr retainers. The car is mainly a street car with a few trips down the 1320. Mainly a dd though. Rev limit I want to go to bout 8500 as the bottom end is remaining all oem. Any input on these cams or any other suggestions

I run a stock bottom USDM ITR motor and use it similar to you and I ran the M22x cams and LOVED them. I hit a little over 200 whp with them (search my name and see my build including graphs). I installed the pro 2`s and run them now but I`m seriously looking at going back to the m22xx cams as I liked them in my motor better overall. Either cams you list will work well, especially the bc3 cams under 8500.

I have buddy club gears (not installed yet) also. Are the buddy club cams good for longevity? I have heard they are good. Also where could I get a set of m22x cams. Want cams that I can drop in and not worry bout them tearing up rockers. Basically put them in and not have to worry bout them again or have to replace components in the head often

IMO, all cams are good for longevity if you use the right oil or oil with a zinc additive, the valves are properly adjusted, the rocker arms aren`t chewed up when changing cams and they`re installed properly using assembly lube and are broken in properly without beating on the car as soon as it`s fired up.

I`m actually selling my old M22x cams right now, they`re listed in the all motor for sale thread at the top of this forum.

Not at all. I was being completely honest, just look back at my first post. I didn`t even mention that I had some for sale until he asked where he could find some. Look at my build thread and you`ll see exactly what I`m talking about and you`ll also see where I felt the m22xx cams might be the best choice for my car, over the pro 2`s.

My personal experience with the m22x cams was excellent and my motors peformance when using them, completely backs up that statement and is posted on here, for everyone to see and benefit from.
