spotted this wonder a few months back but shrugged it off after the first time i tried to start it and it died after a few seconds of idling. however, went back to give it another look and it's nicer than i thought. drove great, too.

-one very small rust spot
-pretty good paint for its age
-pacesetter exhaust
-14" american racing wheels
-don't know what it's lowered on but has poly urethane top mount bushings
-pretty clean engine and bay
-ebay strut bar
-mint interior

cons: 173k miles and that's about it.

think this thing is worth $2200 out the door? (at a small dealership, and i have talked him down already. he was asking $2500 +title, licensing, etc.)

 

looks to be pretty decent...don't forget to run a car fax or auto check report on the vin...!!!

 

If there's no rust and it drives good, its not a bad deal.

 

only rust is on the driver's side and it's about the size of a half dollar coin

looks good to me probably worth the money especially if your looking for a clean shell for a swap

 

i plan to at least ride out the stock engine and then swap it if it takes a crap eventually. hopefully going to pick this up by the end of next week.

 

i wouldnt buy it imo, it looks like any other ef with a inexpensive paint job

 

and rust is like cancer it spreds without detection....tap around the area of rust and ull be able to tell how bad it is or has gotten

 

paint is original and quarters are pretty solid.

Its pretty clean looks good. I paid 1200 for my 91 hb original paint. One little spot of rust on pass side quarter panle. With some other minor mods. Like lowering springs. Control arms and sway bars. I'm Gonna be swaping it with a b18a1 soon. Ans convert 2 mpfi. But as long as the car drives strong and vin checks out u should get it. Price is kinda high tho. But its ur decision. If u want it get if not keep lookin might find something just as fresh for cheeper just a thought gl

 

yeah, i figure about $1200-1500 is what it's worth because it's seriously in GREAT condition, however, it's at a private used car dealership so they're just trying to make a little extra off of it and i can respect that. i know it's not worth the 1900-2000 before the fees and licensing but it's still super nice.

 

Illinois. Very little rust. That's a good thing.

And 173,000 miles isn't bad at all. My '88 Prelude has 275k or so and the '93 Accord I just got rid of (didn't need it since I have the Prelude) has about 257k or so. Both run great though the Prelude has been suffering from bad gas mileage. Hoping I have that figured out though.

Cars like this are probably run of the mill in areas with less rust and a larger Honda scene, but I think $2200 is a good deal for an area with plenty of cars with rust.

 

i live a few hours from peoria. i bought my 90 red dx hatch for 500 bucks from a old guy. milano red. NO rust, small dents on the hatch. had a burnt clutch. i swapped a b16 into it. i effing love the car. nobody believes me i paid 500. id def check for other rust spots and such. price is a bit high yea but it is in good shape. way better than other efs ive seen go for that much.

And I have a friend who bought a 2G Integra GS-R for about $1700. They're coveted cars in this area, which has a huge Honda scene. Out of the ordinary for sure, but it happens.

Oh, and I got my 3G Prelude 4WS for FREE. Rarest color available too. Prelude people think it's awesome.

 

if the rust isnt that bad and YOU ARE satisfied with it, get it. it looks good in the pic, but we all know pics dont do things justice.
hell i paid $300 for my sedan, no rust, 2 owners and paint is factory and perfect.

 

hmm ill say its worth like 1600 bro. wht kind of engine? an the reason y it prolly dies was because it wayyy 2 cold 4 tht single cam. u gotta let it run an jus idle. an whn u turn it on idle it at like 1k.
