Honda Surging
I searched everywhere about surging idle. It goes from 750 rpm to 1000 and back. If I put my hand over the throttle body it stops the surging and the idle is fine. I read somewhere about what that meant. Can anyone help out?
1989 dx d15b2 I checked for vaccum leaks and there was one. On the dashpot. I did already mess with the screw. When I turned the screw up a little but the idle is like 1.2k rpm. and the surging stops. Then when I back it down a little bit the surging starts again. I replaced the iacv to a good one that I had off another engine. I took the bubbles out of the coolant system and toped it off. Also when I cover the whole throttle body with my hand it idles fine and does not die.

I think it's your FITV. It's right under your throttle body held on by 3 10mm bolts. TRy this, it worked for my crx
