Default help with p72 running a y8

hey guys, I have a problem with my 92 civic si. I have a y8 motor in the car and running a p72, the car is boosted 8 psi. The p72 is chipped with chrome to run the d series motor. The tune seems to be good runs about 11.3 in boost and 14.9 going down the road, that is on the wideband.
My problem is my rev limit on the chips is set to 7200 rpm, And vtec at 5500rpm
The problem is that at 5500 rpm when vtec should kick in, The car acts like its hitting rev limit. Then it will not go any higher in rpms in or out of boost, I am not throwing any codes. When the car should go into vtec it sounds like it is hitting rev limit and the cel blinks on and off, then goes away when you shift or decel.
What could make this happen, Could be something to do with the knock sensor onboard i dont have a cel so dont make sence that this could be problem. But i all so never ran a p72 on a y8 motor any help would be great thanks

Is your speedometer working?
Do you have a 2 step enabled on the chip?

Where did you get the chip?

I always though a flashing CEL was a misfire indicator.

Honestly though, I wouldn't be running boost on a base map. I say get your car to a dyno and tune it properly. Your AFR's might look ok but your timing could be off a bit.
