What octane gas do you use for your 6th gen V6 Accord?

Jesus Christ. You put in what Honda tells you to put in for the motor.
To add to it, you do not list what kinda of car you have, what motor you have, or anything. This thread is not Accord specific, nor does it have any technical reason to exist.
Muffin man, calm down..
And the thread title has what car I drive.. I was simply asking because I've gotten mixed responses as to what octane gets better mpg or performance. The poll was specifically just to see what people's opinion was on different octane levels.. No need to get your panties in a bunch, you could just ignore the post if you didn't want to help out..

i use 24038957924 octane
in all seriousness though...your wasting your money if you putting any higher of an octane than what honda tells you to or what your tuned at

I don't think you understand octane levels. Putting in 93 when 87 is recommended DOES NOT get you performance. Supposedly the 03+ V6 have the ability to relearn the octane based on detonation and squeeze a little more power but I have not seen any evidence of it. And I say supposedly because I have only seen George Knighton (respected user) mention it once in a thread
Other than that you are pissing your money away.

93 octane here.... for the J35 in my 6th gen.
Don't use a higher octane in that J30A1. When you use an octane higher than 87 it decreases performance because the ECU will not adjust the timing.

i also own a 6th gen v6 accord... i cant seem to post a working link to the page id like to show you but v6 performance.net has a FAQ section for the 6th gen v6's and there is a write up specifically talking about what octane to use.
And as TheMuffinMan showed you, the different octanes are not classified because of any supposed better performance or fuel economy. That's all up to how your ECU is tuned (whether by the factory or from an aftermarket source) to use it.
And he was trying to help you out, so that's why he didn't ignore the post. He might have been slightly rude, if anything, but you have to realize that this question has been covered a lot and only has one answer for your application.
Anyway, I'd say this whole octane thing should be the least of your worries with the V6 model.
Octane does nothing more than contain fuel's tendency to burn i.e. too much heat due to high compression or cylinder pressure on boosted setups can cause detonation/pining/pre-ignition where the fuel ignites before the top of the compression stroke. Octane does not increase the amount of energy contained in fuel...so no change in power or MPG.
I just checked regular unleaded 87 octane is recommend for this car.

By the way, anyone who is voting for anything but 87 octane (IN A STOCK 98-02, V6), and has a reason BESIDES the fact that they didn't know they were fine with 87 octane, could you please state why?
NOTE: Exception for boosted and built motor applications.
