Default My EF Build

Whats up dudes I just bought my 91 ef sedan on 11-21-10 and am stoked to keep working on her. I bought her in Atlanta, GA, and the drive back home was 170 miles. I did 70mph the whole way home, and did all 170mi. on a 1/4 tank of gas!!

Future Plans:
Motor Swap
Wheels
Full Coilovers
DIY Paint job
Convert everything back to OEM as possible

Things done:

Interior detail
4 windows detintanized if that's a word ha
Switched back civic reverse pannel out
Got a new hood.
I have a lot of goodies in store. I'll post up pics of what I have soon, and keep you guys updated!
Pic of the day I got her

In the above picture you can see the tint and see where there's the wrong sidemarker and has halo lights=ugly. MY GOAL IS TO CONVERT EVERYTHING BACK TO OEM AS POSSIBLE except motor, stance and wheels obviously. I also switched the oem radio out because I cant deal with no music.

More Pics my progress:

Wiring almost raped my brain. I made my own wiring diagram and whatnot, its on that paper on the floorboard.

That's my brother.

Here you can see where the tint on the back windsheild has 2 huge airbubbles

now here with tint removed, still have to touch it up a bit

Drivers side:

Drivers side done. kinda dark.

Did my two passenger side windows today, and you can see where the tint is still on the triangular window.

And the new hood

Any questions or comment welcome. Let me know what you guys think! more updates tommorow!!

Just finished up removing the rest of the tint. It took forever though considering it was 35 degrees, the sun wasnt out and my fingers were numb, but im just glad its done haha Also, the company I got the hood from forgot to tell me that the were out of stock on hood hinges so now I have to wait another week to put the hood on but heres a few pics of the glass afterward and the hood.

heres where the glue is still on the triangle piece

and glue removed

and the hood

Good progress! Did you use a razor blade to get rid of the left over glue? I helped my buddy on his ef hatch, and it took forever. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the hood? Mines got some weird dents that I won't be able to get out.

Thanks! Yes, I used a razor blade, and went through about 10 of them because they kept breaking(fortunatly didnt cut myslelf). It's alot easier to use really really hot soapy water, or goto Advanced Auto and buy their adhesive remover for about $7. And the hood was $179.37 after shipping and handling which is the best price I found after about 4 days of searching the web. Every other place is going to be atleast $200-$250.

Thanks bro, ha yea there not cheap but I actually got a really good deal on it considering the other places prices. Hmm, my plans, I want to eventually in a few months time or sooner do a b16a direct swap for more power. We all know that the d15b comes with 92 bhp, so im only really getting about 50-60hp to the wheels. With the b16a swap it's got 158 bhp, and about 100-110 to the wheels. That's what im drooling over. I've never done an actual swap myself, but I know the steps and procedures. So, with that said, I plan on doing the swap myself and having my Jamaican friend wire it uP. Do you off the top of your head know of a write up on the mpfi swap?

Heres the mpfi write up. They need to sticky this cause it took me like 4 hours of searching to find it. The search in this thread sucks.

You will only loose that much if you puttin your b16 up with an automatic!
My b16 4dr put 149 to the wheels.
and she was all stock.
with just 2.25 exhaust out to a fart can

B16s are fun.
But unless you find a steal of a deal, go a GSR/LS-V.
B167 don't do well with Weight. Haha
My 4dr Was slower with a b16 than it was with my LS.
... Just sayin
Props on the find!
Treat her well!

next time you remove tint, take a heat gun and heat up the tint you are removing. Take your time and do it slowly, the glue will come off with the tint instead of staying on the window.

Thanks! and no auto it will deff. be a 5 speed manual and will prob swap out the b16 tranny for a gsr one for the longer gears. Gsr bolt up to the b16s right? It'll be a JDM engine btw.
