??Crazy - need help 1990 Accord
OK, so I got the new alternator installed and had a neighbor jump start me. Everything working as expected. Let it charge for a little and turn the car off.
Turn the car back on and it starts, but here are the issues that hatched:
1) Key/ignition stuck in on position (key will come out but car stay running)
2) starter motor screams/engages when clutch is pressed in
I've been able to jiggle and coax the key to off, but it'll lock 'on' again next time I start the car. And the starter engages when the clutch is pushed in.
I'm baffled. Any one know how I can fix this? Is it a bad starter motor? a bad ignition switch? is the Electronic Relay bad?

Sounds like the ignition switch cylinder needs lube or replacement. if it were me, the piece of mind that comes with a new replacement switch would be worth the price compared to trying to fix it.
inspect all of the wiring first though to confirm that there isn't a short somewhere.
