hard start in cold
ive got a 90hf with d16z6 and now that the temp here in maine is under 30 degrees most of the time it dosent like to start very easy, i dont know much about these cars or fuel injection for that matter, if any one has any ideas that would be great.
so motor is in healthy shape as in no low compressions and any minor problems...
eh only time i have really cold start is when my car has been sitting for too dam long in the cold...
well as far as i know try starting the car every now and then let it warm up so it dont reach really low temperatures...
coolant is basically mix right for the temp right? if not water can freeze up... causing problems with water pump and such....

brand new battery, it does it in the summer but not close to whats happening now, but i think i figured out the problem, i dont think the person i got the car from put the motor in with the conversion done to the wiring harness, i think i might have to get a new harness or somthing
Get a block/oil heater. Never had a problem with my truck not starting, but it will crank slower than normal in the cold. Its was -10F this morning. I had it plugged in for a few hours and it fired up like it was 70 degrees out.
You can get the kind that are magnet mount and just stick it on the oil pan. You can get one as low as $25. Not sure how effective they are though. Nicer ones are more expensive, but if you dont have the luxury of a warmer garage they are nice.

coolant temp sensor. the two prong one under the distributor. take it out and clean it and if that dont work replace it. if the sensor is bad and it dont read that ur motor is cold then it wont dump the extra fuel to start a cold motor. happened to mine i only had to clean mine out but it worked after that no problem
got it figuer out the dumb *** that put the motor in decided that he didnt need the plug for the intake air temp sensor so he cut it off, now i get to go to the junk yard and try to find one.
