Default DIY M3 hood vents installation (in progress)

Here it is. I bought 10' M3 hood vents and the honeycomb grills.

It should look good after it's all done. At least to me.

Following videos are the passenger side vent. I still need to clean up the edges so its more flushed. I bought aluminum sheet metal and will create brackets underneath to hold up the M3 vents. I have to use etch primer on the edges to prevent the metal from rusting and then touch up paint. I also plan to cut out clear plexiglass covers for the M3 vents for when it rains.

Working on the drive side vent tomorrow.

Also installed type s front lip and side skirts. I cut up the side skirts so I plan to mold the mud guards to the side skirts. Also did 35% window tint all around and blue tinted mirrors. Will post pics later on.

Not my taste at all, but I like your ingenuity.

Looks like you did a good job on placement.

looks ok. looks better on the cars they come with because the hood has creases around the vents.

Finished driver side M3 vent today. I didn't have much time afterwards so I have to do it next weekend to clean up.

M3 vents are not done yet. I have to sand down the sides, etch primer and touch up paint. Then work on the brackets.

Props on all the work you've done to this car. I like how you aren't doing just bolt ons, you're really taking this car to the next level with all your custom fabrications. Keep it up!

The brand is called Gila

They're $18. Get Pacific Blue. It's 35% tint and its the lightest out of the blue. FYI it's not crystal clear. It has a small grainy look but its manageable.

DON'T GET Electric Blue because its darker and you can't see through it. I recommend to just pay a professional to install it. Just supply the film.

it looks like you did quality work but they look kind of stark sitting in the middle of the hood...I agree with the previous poster that the accent lines on the M3 hood are necessary to pull the vents off.

Really like the front lip, but the sides don't flow with the rear at all.

type s rear fitting. i have to push my ls460 tips outward since the rear lip is bulkier than the oem bumper. also im able to fit the rear mud guards. getting paint match this week. gaps will be solved by using double sided tape

$600 to professional repaint all 4 pieces, grill and m3 vents
