Pic request: JDM front end for '99 Civic Coupe?
I am looking at acquiring my friend's '99 Civic. He says it has a JDM front end. He did not say it was from another model (Teg, RSX, etc), so I assume that it's from a Civic.
I could use some help in this department. I do not know much about JDM parts. If you have JDM parts or a total JDM front end on your 99-00 Civic, please post some pics so I can see what it looks like. I am wondering if the whole thing could be a myth all in itself. Thanks!

The differences are:
- Headlights (reflectors, reflector color, housing color for some)
- Grille (number of fins, possibly mesh insert, color of surround, thickness of surround)
- Lips (optional or standard)
- Fenders (sidemarker indentations and holes)
- Hood (emblem on front of hood for some)
Your friend might be talking about the standard ("SiR") front end from Japan or the Civic Type-R front end from Japan.
First, here are what USDM 1999-2000 Civic front ends look like. The only real difference is the grille (3 Types: coupe/hatch grille, sedan grille and Si grille) and the Si gets a standard front lip (which can be added to any '99-'00 Civic front bumper).

Then here are the JDM front ends he might be talking about.
The differences from the US front ends are the headlights (standard "SiR" headlights have no amber reflector, CTR are the same, but also have a gunmetal finish)
Also, the Type-R gets a standard front lip and also gets a mesh grille like the US Si and the emblem is moved to the front of the hood.
The hood (besides the emblem), fender (besides the indentation for the sidemarker), front bumper and grilles are otherwise the same as the US counterparts.

Hope this helps some.

I'd replace the cleared out grille at least. No need for it and it exposes your hood latch.
Looks like the front end needs to be lined up too. That usually just means removing the bumper and headlights and adjusting where they sit though.
