Default Hood clearanceof CRX's with GSR block and B16A head with Hasport mounts

hey guys just wondering how all of you are running your lsvtecs and gsr's in your CRX's. i have noticed that my distributor and valve cover hit the hood a lot jus wondering if this is happening to everybody else and if all of you have cut out the supports in your hoods or any other methods that you use to create more clearance. any help would be appreciated. thanks

one friend has a C5 in a 91 hatch, another, LS/VTEC in a 91 CRX, just let it rub and bend the hood. haha. i would consider cutting out the braces in a small spot for clearance..

my HCP kit looks like it drops the motor pretty low as well. i don't have hood issues, it seems like i have motor-flops-around-getting-out of first ISSUES. seems noisy and chatters like it is trying to come loose, have you noticed it??

With a SiR hood you can stuff a B20 in

I have a b18c in my 91 crx si and using the billet mounts by hasport. Eventhough the hood supports were cut, the hood still hits the edge of the valve cover by the crank shaft bolt. As of now, the hood is rubbing off the paint on the valve cover and it's almost to the bare metal. Do you guys think oem carbon fiber hood will clear the motor?

guys, try adjusting your hood heights. i have a b20 in my EF..using old hasport mounts and STOCK hood. it rubbed at first, but i unscrewed the rubber bump stops all most all the way, and most important, i unscrewed the hood latch at the spring...this provided the necessary clearance..no rubbing!
