Default What kind of engine should i swap into my 99 accord LX?

I have a 99 honda accord lx auto and i am looking to swap an engine in it. any ideas? should i replace the transition as well?

By "transition", do you mean "transmission"?

None, put back in a stock motor and keep driving it.

Agreed, why change a stout powerplant?

If you are looking for performance, it can handle boost, it can make some N/A power (thanks a lot to Bisimoto).

So unless you REALLY want to spend 1-2 grand on an H22a or for similar money a nice J32 w/ 6 speed, you might as well play with what you got.

NOTE: If your stock engine is broken, just get another. The transmission is fine as well.
