here's the deal... i have a 97 accord that is throwing this code... about 4 yrs ago it threw the same code and i had the tranny replaced with one from the junkyard.. a yr later it threw the same code and i had the original tranny rebuilt and reinstalled... now it's throwing the same code and i'm at a loss... i just dont understand how it could be throwing the same code again for the 3rd time unless it never needed to be replaced/rebuilt before... does any1 kno what else it could be?

IF the tranny fluid is ok looking try changing it. If it's dark or burnt, DO NOT replace the fluid, reuse it and baby it till it quits or you replace it. Putting in new fluid when yours is dark or burnt almost guarantees a tranny failure. In the future make sure to change the fluid regularly.

You may need a new tranny. Service manual calls for a replacement of the tranny due to lockup system failure.
