Default What is the difference between each year of the ITRs

Good morning all,

I am fairly still new to the ITR field and I am curious to know what is the difference between each year of the ITRs. I see that some people like some years more than others.

I dont know if there is a thread already created about this question. If there is please direct me in that direction.

Thank you

What are the differences? That they are different model years? Yeah, there's more differences than that there captain...

And first one was a 95 Model Year in Japan as already stated, but we can probably safely assume the guy means USDM.

Over the years there were differences, intake cam for 00+, standard AC for 00+, some interior pieces (shift ****, plastics, etc), no rear wiper on the good year, hatch release cable operated on the good year, 98+ has different front fascia, rear fascia, taillights, headlights, cornerlights, etc.

And yes, the obvious color differences.

Don't forget about the different ratio rack in the 00-01. And it had slightly differernt ECU calibration in 00-01 (and OBD-IIa).

And OP--this is covered many, many different places on the net and in this forum. Just search.

Don't forget the floormats

Look at the press kits. Honda didn't publish a side-by-side list for each year, but they do note many of the differences.

I didn't know that either, I thought all itr heads from 96+ were hand ported. And all replacement heads sold at the dealer after production date of 01 were CNC.

Oh, but they were all rated for 195.. does that mean 00+ is actually 200?

No. When the 97's arrived off the boat they had the JDM 4-1 header on them. They didn't meet emissions, so Honda had to scramble and come up with something else. But, they left the HP @ 195, even though it was probably more like 190 or so with the new exhaust manifold.

When re-introduced in 00, the intake cam was added and the ECU was tweaked a bit to get back that 5 extra hp, making it a true 195.

There's also that brace under the back seat above the tank that is in 3 pieces that goes across the car. This is for all 98+ integras. I have a JDM back seat and I'm guessing it's a 96 spec because the hooks on the bottom wouldn't fit.

I've never heard this... any additional info on the header fiasco?
