So I have just swapped a d16z6 into my 88 wagon. the motor is mpfi and obd1.

Right now It idles at 2500rpms at all time(hot and cold)? there are no codes.

I took the IVAC cylinder off and put my friends on (from another d16z6) and it didn't change a thing.

The car's timing is spot on also.

Does anyone know specifically what may be causing this? if its a vacuum leak. is there a certain line in particular I should be checking?

mine just started acting up in the same way.i found that the red wire on the tps needs attention.try wiggleing the wires a lil when its running and see if theres a change.i also just found out that my tb gasket had a leak the whole time.things to consider
