Default **SmkVtec dc2 refresh part 2**

Well its about that time I start a thread for my Part 2 of my Integra build. I picked up this Integra in April on 2009. I've done a great amount of work so far, but not nowhere close to finishing. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I picked up this 97, clean titled two owners previous to me, Black Integra about 1 1/2 years ago. Paid 1,500 and it had right side quarter panel damage.

So this is what it looked like when I first picked it up:

Dropped on koni yellow/eiback springs w/ 17" ICW rims

I sent it off to a local body shop to get the body straight and put down some primer till i decided on the color. While I was waiting on the body shop, I picked up some suspension parts for a good deal.

ASR Subframe Brace/ Blox LCA's/ Beaks Lower Tie Bar

Got the car back from the body shop. Finally decided on the paint color. I went with Electric Blue Pearl. I had a friend of mine spray the paint for me. He gave me a good deal and no paint shop could touch his price. Paint came out GREAT!

Sold the 17" ICW and picked up some 15" Candy Red Slipstreams

What it looked like for a while after I got it back. Put on the suspension/ rims/ MR drift spec exhaust.

Picked up a personal woodgrain wheel/nrg hub and sk2 front camber kit to fix my camber.

Richmond Honda Meet 2010

After the meet and seeing everything having done wire tuck, painted there bays, and I wanted more power. So I bought a jackson racing supercharger $900 from a dude here on ht and a jdm gsr w/35k miles off of a friend for $1300. Also picked up a polished skunk2 intake manifold for a good price. Decided on Solar Gold as the color I was going to spray the bay, picked up new rims that I had powder-coated candy purple and traded my slips to a friend for his brand new yakima roof rack with snowboard attachment.

Pulled out the ls motor to swap in the jdm gsr.

Engine bay went from this

To this

swapped in the motor soon after

last photo-shot with the teg and a friend's fit.

Winter came so it was time to put the car in the garage. I needed a new DD so i bought a 2010 honda fit.

Present day

Now the refresh starts. I plan on building the jdm gsr and throwing on the jrsc boosting around 10 psi. Nothing to serious because it will be my DD during the spring and fall. Full wire tuck/shave, respray engine bay/hood/fenders. Deadline is April of 2011 so that it will be ready for the meets. Doing a few interior changes also.

Engine Specs:

jdm motor
itr dual springs/retainers and cams
supertech valves w/bronze valve guides and new valve seals
aem cam gears
eagle rods
cp pistons
all oem bearing/rings/ thrust washers/gaskets/seals

Yeah I'm not a fan of the whole engine bay painted flashy colors for some reason.

Some progress made with the build. Picked up itr dual springs/retainers, supertech valves/bronze guides/valve seals.

Best mpg I've gotten so far in the Fit. Got in our first set of tee/stickers for a photography company that friends and I started recently.

thanks

Nothing major has changed. Gotten in a few parts recently, and the car is still outside waiting to be put into the garage so I can start pulling the motor and wires harness/misc stuff. I decided that I'm going to try to pick up a ls crank and ls eagle rods instead of gsr. Got bored at work so thought I entertain everyone with a picture of a couple of honeycomb hot-bond I did today.

I been MIA for a few weeks because of work, but I had some time to get the build started finally. I traded my jackson racing supercharger straight up for a precision 6262 turbo/plus kit. I pulled the motor out, and started taking it apart. I work unfortunately this weekend so I dont know how much I will accomplish.

ROAD TRIP!!!! Went to Cumberland today to get some EP3 seats for the car.

Back from the dead!!! Haven't had much time to do anything to the car. I messed up both of my hands at work, gotta love chemical burns!!! STUPID MEK!!!! Doctor says I can't touch anything but I'm stubborn and threw on some gloves and went to work on the car today (call off of work lol). I got almost all the engine bay stripped. Abs/Ac/Ps are now gone, harness are ready to be pulled through, and misc items were removed. Still need to disconnect the mc/bb, fuel lines, evap container, and others lines not needed anymore. Also decided that I'm not going to build the motor anymore, but I'm putting in ARP Headstuds/New Cosmetic Headgasket. Planning on having the engine bay and engine/tranny primer and painted mid march.

Quick shot of the EP3 seats I picked up last week.
