Camber and Toe Settings for Autox and Track racing
Just curious what you guys that are racing a lot do for your camber and toe settings regardless of tire wear. I have heard that you usually want more negative camber in the front than in the rear to help reduce understeer and also to have the toe out as much as possible without being out of spec. What do you guys think and what has worked for you? Again lets look at this without having tire wear being an issue.
Also what is kind of a general are of what you guys put you tire pressure at. I know every setup is different, but lets have everybody post their pressures front and rear to see if there is some kind of pattern. Thanks.

front 1/8" toe out
rear zero toe
camber between 1.6-2.0 negative. I would like to see this be a little closer to -2.0 all around.

What tires are you running?
Tire pressure and camber settings depend on which tires you're using.
I'm running some no-name tires right now, but I am either going to get Falkens or toyo ra-1s depending on my funds. Keep this going everyone. good info

What kind of camber adjustments do you have?
.I wish I had something like the skunk2 and king rear setup but too many people seem to have issues with slippage with the skunks still.
Right now I just have a landspeed racing front adjuster, but I think I am just going to use washers on the rear.
I have got the tower bars front/rear. JDM Rear Sway bar/rear tubular control arms, and tein HAs. I was going to upgrade coilovers, but I decided to learn to drive this setup to the best of my ability before I go off blowing money on something else.
Sorry, for not asking all the questions in one post. I was just trying to get a feel for the entire picture.
Try setting the front camber to -2 and the rear to -1.5.
Set front tire pressure to 44 psi and rear to 50 psi.
Play with rear tire pressures to adjust oversteer/understeer tendencies.

Thanks for all of the help.
If anyone else has anything to add that would be great. The more info the better.
Also what camber kits are a lot of you guys running in the front??

I wouldn't really worry about camber, as much as I would worry about tire pressures. Set the rear shocks to be stiffer than the fronts also.
With the suggestions mentioned above, what would tire wear be like?
Going against conventional wisdome here. Make of it what you will.
Although my toe was at 0, front and rear, I fairly recently ate a pair of front tires in approx. 9 months. My front camber was -1.6 and -1.9.
I have since had my camber changed by having the knuckles slightly bent in a press. I am now at +.6 and +.7. Not exactly what I wanted (and I'll probably have it changed sometime soon), but the surprise is that the car seems to like this odd setup. It actually has a responsive bite to turn in, and, contrary to popular opinion about positive front camber, the car does not understeer noticably more than it did with negative camber.
It's interesting.

With your new settings you more negative camber in the front than the rear, which induces more oversteer.
It does make sense.
No, sorry, it wasn't 1.6 F, 1.9 R. It was -1.6 left front, -1.9 right front. The rear camber was (and remains) -1.5, both sides. Now it's +.6 left front, +.7 right front. I should have been more specific.

just put in 1/8" toe out in front, zero in back... what is stock??
And, what about "1/8" toe out in the rear?

Air pressures vary from setup to setup, I run for autocross 38 f and 42r on a 15x7 with Azenis. But for track I start with 32f and 35r and shoot for hot pressures of 39f and 40r. For toe settings I run -.06 (1/16th) toe out per side in the front and 0 in the rear. Some people like .04 per side, which is the max factory spec. Camber settings will also vary with spring rates, the stiffer the spring the more static camber. Most people shoot for about -2 front and -1.5rear for most street/track cars.

Just verifying, toe-out increases steering response right? Do you notice any extra understeering with this setup?
How do you adjust the toe? Do you need some sort of kit?
