ITR cluster in EG(gauge lights not working)

ITR cluster in EG(gauge lights not working)
so i installed my 96-99 itr dc2 cluster into my eg hatch, everything works but i have no dash lights, fuses are ok, help ?

Check the illumination power, [red/black] and ground, [red] at the cluster plug(s).
Confirm there is 12V+ on the red/black lead at the plug, when park/head lights are on.
Confirm the red/black lead connects to the clusters illumination circuit, [12V+ side of illumination bulb].
Confirm there is a ground on the red illumination ground lead at the plug, this lead will have veritable continuity to chassis ground, depending on position of the "Dash Lights Brightness Controller".
Confirm the red connects to cluster illumination circuit, [ground side of illumination bulb. 94
