Default DIY: Modifying Beaks Bar for Progress Brace

Seriously I don't know what my problem is but it seems I have to do a lot of modifications to get things to work others have done with ease... :firemad:

I looked into the Beaks bar before buying it and no one talked about modifying it to fit... I then even got on the cell and talked to Junior and he didn't have the issue I had... So now I'm thinking to myself WHAT THE **** and oh well time to cut now and worry later :weeeeeeeeee:

So here is what I bought. The red Beaks Bar

So here are the photos... the brackets will not clear the Progress Brace.... :face:

(sorry for these bad photos... it's hard to shoot in a short space and now look at the photo your taking)

From the bottom you'll see the issue :firemad:

The bracket can't sit flush with the progress brace in the way. So me being the crazy guy you all know I am said time to do it my way! So I pulled out a marker and traced where the brace is hitting

The put the bracket in a vice...

Now cut the bracket with an air grinder :giggity:

Lets see how I did :noes::noes:

Look at that! Now it fits!! Now do the same for the other side and bolt that bitch up and go have a beer :beerchug:

Also it is winter here in WI and it is to cold to paint... so when it's warmer or one of these days I'll throw on the heater and I'm going to paint the brackets black so they do not rust.

Seriously what a pain in the *** :firemad:

here's an idea, maybe because you don't need all those bars to support your subframe. seriously 3 bars to support a subfame with a 22m sway bar? DC2R's dont need all that for mugen 26mm or larger

your car has pretty much everything done to it, looks really good and sure it's quick being SC so I'm guessing your running out of things to do to it
