9.2 1/8th mile time? 300whp somethings wrong
my car just isnt running right, it feels like it has no top end, i ran a 9.2 1/8th mile last night on street tires with a 2.2 60 foot, im putting 295 to the wheels in my boosted gsr with 9lbs of boost, and it is tuned, it feels like vtec isnt kicking in even though it sounds like it is.

My car was running weak all year (2010), def should have re-tuned it. Trapped 120-125 all last year(2009) after getting it tuned. I changed the headgasket early 2010, but didn't get back on the dyno so I was trapping 114-118.
look at the MPH, hes not making any HP. 79mph ha. i fairly close to that in my daily driver B18c1 99 coupe. runnning low 9s on DRs. i had i/h/e/cams.
Yeah way too low of a mph.
Here is what i ran back in 2004 with a basicly full interior b13. Only weight reduction being no spare tire and jack and no a/c in the bay.
My time is on the left.

I had full bolt ons on a jdm sr20de and was making 155whp, 142wtq My car probably weighed the same as what your hatch weighs, maybe even more and that was on street tires.

I am pretty sure i have a problem with vtec not working, low end the car accelerates great, but after about 5500 rpm, its like a stock d15, i have smoke tested my car for boost/vacuum leaks yesterday and found a pretty small leak out of my intercooler coupler, and a rather large leak out of my boost controller, which is vacuum operated, but according to my boost gauge im staying steady at 9psi once it spools up, and no driving error has nothing to do with it, i have consistently run good times in my previous vehicles
ITS FIXED! we were slow at the shop today so i pulled my car in and started messing with it, and found a bad crimp on a butt connector for the coolant temp sensor for the pcm, the pcm was more than likely seeing very cold temperature all the time, and my car was running full rich, and vtec was not engauging, but after fixing the problem and test driving i have my power back, and am ready to hit the track either this thursday or friday night, i will post up with my new and improved times
i found a 200$ set of 22inch slicks on fat fives and am contemplating buying them, how much time will slicks knock off of the 1/8th mile compared to street tires? i really want to break into the high sevens, i know with street tires i can at least pull off a 8.5 im hoping for better
Slicks make the biggest difference. On street tires I would run like a 10 something 1/8 because I would spin like if I was sitting still. If your problem is fixed your going to have a hard time running a decent time on street tires.
figure out your MPH first then worry about traction. you may not even be able to run that 8.5 on streets you so desire. just cause joe blow down the street ran that with 300whp doesnt mean you will.
well assuming i ran a 9.2 with my gsr running full rich, and no vtec, im assuming an 8.5 is easily accessible for me considering that im sure i gained at least 60+ whp after fixing my wiring problem, i dont want to drive 2 hours to pick these slicks up for the price that i could almost buy two new drag radials here in town, so im going to run street tires this friday night and i will post up times
