Finally took some daytime pics of my 1989 CRX Si !!!
Bought it a few months ago, been trying to clean it up and getting it to run right. It's finally reliable!!
It's got:
-D16Z6 VTEC swap
-generic ebay coilovers (they suck!!!)
-NRG steering wheel
-15x7 XXR wheels +25 offset
-Falken 512 tires
-Pioneer USB head unit with MB Quart component speakers
QUESTION
Do you think i should leave the XXR wheels? They only a month old... i like them but i don't love them.
I'm considering switching to Rota track R's (CPR replica) in either white or silver.... your opinions???

swap

What do you know about custom 4door power windows in a CRX!! WITH manual window option too!
I don't know what kind of crack some people smoke when they do this stuff....

interior

the wheels i am considering

your opinions????

I've never heard of Rotas "breaking" other than that infamous photo of the slips on a track car. (and I'm sure there are photos of other "real" rims breaking in a similar fashion when put through the stress of track use)
You are definately on the right track. I was actually looking at the same wheels because these wheels/color schemes go great with the red and the black trim. I like your current rims now though, they are also a sick choice for your car. i cant make your choice man but if you want to change it up. Just do it.
Edit: I was really considering the gt3 white with polished lip for my 98 teggy with black trim.. And as well when i bought my rims off craigslist i knew they werent going to be my last.

I say keep those on for now, and save up for a set of older JDM wheels you really like. Not only will the look better on the car, they are something you can really take pride in and keep for a long time.
I have had rotas on a couple cars, works on a couple cars, bbs, Fzigen, etc. etc. Ive got no problems with rotas at all, but I think their style is always a tad off and it shows. It's not about quality, but about what fits just right.
Edit. Engine bay looks really clean...well done.

Rota's are just fine, they are not weak.
If you slam any wheel sideways into a curb, whether its rota, volk, drag, or sprint hart, youre gonna see wheel damage.
Thanks all for your input, i think im gonna work on the suspension first and think about the wheels later!

thanks, ya the ebay coilovers are generic for everything from crx;'s to preludes and accords, so on the CRX they are stiff as ****!! also they are lowered as far as they will go and you can see i still have a gap in the rear!!

I would keep what you got for now and fix/paint front bumper and get the car looking good, then focus on another set of wheels, I would prefer authentic stuff, with economy the way it is people are selling good wheels for the price of the fakies, you just have to shop around...
