question for you turbo guys
I am about to go turbo (finally...sigh..) and I was wondering about my exhaust I have on the car now. I have a 96 integra se with a 5zigen axleback. I really dont want to get rid of my 5zigen and was wondering if I had a custom pipe made from the downpipe that started at 3" and gradually towards the end had it taper down to 2.38 to fit my axle back would this be sufficient? Thanks

Don't bother....the pipe can be smaller towards the turbo but needs to be larger towards the muffler. As the gases cool (which they will as they travel thru the piping) they will expand, so you can see where the larger piping comes in.
If you have to keep your muffler, you'll probably be losing 10-15 HP depending on the amount of boost you run, but go ahead and have the rest done in 2.25" mandrel and that will be the best you can do with that muffler.

That should be fine as long as it's mandrel bent. I have made over 450whp with a tanabe racing medallion and 2.5" downpipe.
SWEET!i guess i dont have to sell my exhaust then...
