Default Got rid of the Si, Picked up an IS300!

Well, The quick fun Si project came to an end Saturday. The new owner drove it home to Georgia to finish the build. For those who want to see it after he's done, I'll have him post up in the Honda/Acura forum. Gutted 650+WHP K-Series

Well I got this, And loving it so far! I've wanted an IS300 for a very long time. I couldn't pass this one up

Lexus IS300, Intensa Blue Pearl, 5spd.

Has Altezza Grill, Smoked headights, Smoked fogs, Ground Control Coil-Overs, Altezza tail lights and GReddy Ti-C Exhaust.

Future plans, 2JZ swap (Single turbo), Wheels (18x8.5- 18x9.5), RRM Lip and OEM Trunk Spoiler, Koni Yellows, Altezza Headlights and finish it up with all black interior swap!

The Si, Some might remember.

Now, The IS! Sorry for the cell phone pics, A buddy has my camera at the shop.

Your IS300 is awesome but dang that Si looked like it was a blast to drive and was built with proper taste in part selection. I have faith that this will be built with the same taste.

very nice I have a 02 in that same color my.is has a lot of info on the car and doing swaps. There really no need for a tt swap also. Just do turbo that motor with a tt head gasket you will be fine.

good luck

Nice!

For me there is, I want more power then the GE can give. They have weak internals, Hints why I'd rather just GTE swap and big turbo. Now keeping the VVTi head and GTE short block wouldn't be bad but no way I'm keeping this weakling of a motor in there lol

Thanks man. The Si was really fun to drive and got a lot of looks/compliments but I needed something more practical.. Along with all the thieves in my area it had to go before someone thought they needed the car more then me lol

http://www.boostwerx.com/ Look up dave he has a killer setup for the Na motor. The weak link will be the 5 speed before the motor.

Not the best site lol Not even complete kits or pictures of their products?

The GE has weak internals, Weaker then the W55. Hints why I'd much rather spend 2K on the full swap then spend that on a turbo kit for this and then have to build the block right after. At least if i got the 2JZ-GTE I'd be able to just slap on a bigger turbo and shot for some nice numbers, I couldn't do that with the 2JZ-GE and it would cost much more.
