Post up your carnage pictures!!!!
Im a big fan of some serious carnage pictures. I see we dont have a thread here for that and thought it would be fun to see your drag racing carnage pics.
Here is a couple of a semi built SR20DET that i did about 2 1/2 years ago. CP pistons on stock rods, cosworth headgasket, cams, and so on.
Hydraulic lifter failed and collapsed sending the rocker flying, hit the s&r just right dropping an exhaust valve shattering the piston. The rod and wrist pin actually dug into and punched through the cylinder wall and cracked the front of the block and popped the freeze plug out as seen.
Amazingly enough, the stock rod was still attached to the crank with nothing on the big end of the rod messed up. Rod was mangled but still in one piece. That was what was pulled out of the motor both with the pan and what i threw in with it after removing the rod off the crank.

Enjoy. Now miller post up some of the carnage you mentioned in the other thread. haha

Wow, thats a clean cut through that block. My rod didnt make it out of the sleeve which is why it just punched right through it, haha.

So your B series main girdles only cover the 2, 3, and 4 main caps? Ive never opened one up so curious. I know that not all the B series came with girdles correct. I think the what the b18c5 was the one that came with them correct?
Here is a pic of the SR20 bottom end/girdle

It would take some brute strength to split the bottom end of one of these. lol

Theres a B series motor in Chuck Seitsingers case at his shop where a rod swung all the way around and literaly chopped the block in half. ill have to see if i can find the pic.
