87 honda crx si car wont start after short trips not getting fuel fires up fine when cold.died recently while running so i replaced main relay with brand new part worked fine for a day and then it stalled tried to start engine relay vibrates non stop (weird)so i tried second relay same thing.next i replaced fuel pump still same thing.checked for power with continuity checker at fuel pump nothing.any sugestions.

 

A buzzing relay is usually an indication that the relay itself is bad. It can also be caused by low current to the solenoid side of the relay, or an intermittent ground on the solenoid side of the relay. To determine what contacts are the solenoid side, ground a pin and provide voltage to another pin, until you hear a click. then trace back the wires on those pins to ensure strong ground and good source. It sounds like you already replaced the relay, so as long as it was the right replacement part, then the only thing left that it could be is either the solenoid power source being intermittent, or the solenoid ground wire being intermittent. good luck.

 

yes i did replace relay with brand new part worked for a day then stopped .exchanged and relaced again same thing sounds like your right thanks hopefully bad ground or wiring issue .there has been aacura motor swap so im not to sure about wiring harness
