My idles move up and down when i turn my car on... When i drive it for a while and then turn it off and turn it back on in 2-3 sec it turns off..

i talk to a mechanic about it and said its mos def a vacuum leak somewhere..
i sprayed every hose i can spray with carb. and nothing change,, so i decide to put my finger on the top hole inside the throttle and my car got real quite.... it was still on but quite and shaky... is that the iacv hole? i cleaned it before but it was w.e.

is it no good?

Did u do anything to it right before it started idling like that? Hand check the hoses around the throttle body by feeling them out for leaks. I think it's unusual for hoses to leak unless they've been worn out or you were working around them and caused a slit or break in the hose. I had an idling problem like that too and it took forever to figure out. It was from an aftermarket throttle body spacer I just put in. It turned out the gasket that came with it was crappy even though it didn't look like it. I bought a OEM Honda gasket and then it was all good from there.

 

Clean the IACV.

 

Fast Idle Thermal Valve (FITV) It's on the bottom side of the throttle body and has two small coolant hoses running to it. Can almost guarantee this is your problem.

so i cleaned both of them and threw in a new gasket on the throttle, i turned it on and there was no mor idling.. i thought i had it fixed until i ran the car and threw it in parked and it did it all over again..

could it be that i just need to replace the IACV, or the other one.. ??
