Default tanabe hm exhuast problems

hey my friend just installed a tanabe hyper medallion exhuast on his base rsx and it looks real tight but it smells like its burning and rattles badly at certain times when driving and idling. i think the burning is jus cuz its new but the rattling is pretty bad. it sounds like its coming from near the header but not sure. any1 else have problems like this?

i had the same problem when i had the tanabe. it rattles because of engine flex, go to your local muffler shop and and pick up longer bolts that connect the header to the cat and the cat to the exhaust. there are springs in between that need seperation because right now they are too compressed. that should take care of the problem. years ago when i had my civic i had the same crap happen it sounds horrible and it's a beyotch to figure out. hope this helps.
