Look through the "Post your hoodride" thread and you will find plenty of buckets if that is what you're interested in.....

I'm only about 6 grand deep on mine so far, and I'm pretty happy with it. Once I do the paint and add in all the little touches I'll probably slide in right under 10k. Course... then I plan on dumping a few grand into the motor lol.

to clarify, are you asking for cars bought and built for 1k? because that would require a free car and some time at maaco. and even then it would probably look like something that gets honda owners made fun of

For 1k....I got J's Racing Coilovers, SSR Competitions with tires, Buddy Club short shifter/****, and new front brakes

That's exactly $1000 out of pocket

or for my Galant:

BBS RG-R, Tein Springs/KYB shocks, JDM tails, and a Magnaflow Exhaust

Define build, some sort of mods or a complete redo of the car.

If the car was free and freshly painted. Then you could buy used suspension and wheels plus a front lip. You would have a nice dd for 1k but other then that scenario I don't think it can be done.
