May 22 - Import Face Off #1
September 25 - Import Face Off #2
2011 IFO DRAG CLASSES AND PAYOUT
RACE OR CAR SHOW ENTRY FEE - $25
FWD Q8- 1st $800, R/U $400, Semi 1 $100, Semi 2 $100
FIP Q8 - 1st $700, R/U $300, Semi 1 $100, Semi 2 $100
FIS Q8/16 - 1st $200, R/U $100, Semi 1 $50, Semi 2 $50
AMP Q4- 1st $400, R/U $200
AMS Q4 - 1st $200, R/U $100
OL Q4- 1st $350, R/U $150
BR - 1st $150, R/U $50
2011 IMPORT MADNESS SCEDULE:
June 25 - Import Madness Shootout Series #1
July 30 - Import Madness #2 vs Domestic Shoot Out (night show, starts at 12noon)
Oct 15 - Import Madness Shootout Series Finale #3

Import Madness will be run as a 3 race series with points!!
Who plans on racing? Id love to see some of the guys in NY/NJ make it up here since we are always going down there

Concrete Wrap-up... (updated 11/24)
The concrete work is done… the New England Dragway strip is concrete from the start line to the finish line !!! Underneath the yards and yards of tarps, the new concrete surface is curing for the winter. I made a quick trip over to the track today and caught a few minutes with Joe Lombardo, General/Track Manager and he told me that they are very pleased with the results. The flatness of the new surface exceeded the required specifications by a considerable amount. I guess all the fancy computer controlled, laser guided concrete spreading equipment worked pretty good !!

That's awesome, I didn't realize they were going to fix it.
Also, they used to let BEATERS in there and they would blow motors and differentials and soak the track with fluids.
I hope they up their standards a little bit now with the new accreditation and track finish. I'll have to let my old friends up there know about it. Good news.

I know what you meen about the "standards" they had with some cars, its not like that anymore either, maybe at a wed's or friday night test and tune but from all the events I went to last season if it was questionable, you didnt race lol

Im glad to see there is interest, I remember one event this season where there was like 15 guy racing and like 12 in the stands lol (someone forgot to take the closed sign down from the rain out the night before) :/

i think it was plenty of cars from mass/nh/ri it was just ppl never got there cars dialed in. guys was running mid 9's with bugs but next year with the new track and hopefully some of the e-racers will come out including me
