Any good shops in So Cal that can smooth out my carbon fiber hood? My hood has minor imperfections and I remember reading in a car mag where they did this to a hood for a Subaru. I think it was Super street and this asian guy was working in his garage.

In the article the guy sanded the hood down alittle until everything was smooth. Then he polished the hood and sprayed clear coat over the complete hood.
It was nice

 

I bet it costs a lot. Probably $100+ just for the materials. Add another 65/hour for that labor too.

Why don't you just paint the hood body color?

 

I would just spray a few coats of DuPont clear and then carefully block sand it.

You can have a bodyshop shoot a clear coat over the hood and block it and then shoot it again. After that, just buff it to a shine.
