B18 cams scratched up - Can I fix them?

Default B18 cams scratched up - Can I fix them?

I have a boosted ls and recently my oil pump went out and i drove the car with no oil it over heated n I pulled over towed it home took it apart n I notices my cams were scratched up idk what else messed up but is there anyway I can re use the cams? Or could they be fixed they are crower cams btw....any advice would help thanx.

The cams are scratched as in they are gouged or just an appearance thing?

I did a similar thing and kept running them, ran fine no issues.

I guess cause no oil was getting to the head.....I heard u can't fix it or use them idk?

If the cams arent gouged and its just cosmetic they are fine. What you need to check is the line bore of the cam caps and be sure they are still in spec and straight.
