Eg temperature problem!!!!!!!!

Default Eg temperature problem!!!!!!!!

hey guys i really need some help...i was driving my car last night on the high way and the temperature drop a lil bit and then when i stop at the light the temperature went back to normal...is that bad,,,the weather was a lil cold
and can any 1 send me a pick of the right temperature in the gauge of the eg bc the lil stick in my gauge never touches the lil white drawing

SOunds like you probably just need to replace your thermostat, it's an easy and affordable job. The gauge should be around a third of the way up in the white bracket.

well for my car thats normal remember your on the highway its really cold so that cold air is hitting the motor cooling it down as long as it went back to normal and didnt go passed that i would say your good

same here but if the car starts to overheat or starts to stay cold for to long make sure to test and or replace the thermostat.

well that depends if he is on the highway for a while meaning 10 to 30 minutes make sure to give it time to warm back up after u hop off the highway just dont jump the gun but if its not over heating or its not stayin cold and its running normal stay with it but i will give you this advice do not i repeat do not buy a thermostat from autozone that part i always buy and will buy from honda

and remember, coolant actually keeps the motor running warmer, pure water will keep it cooler. so make sure you have the correct amount of coolant and water in your system.

yea it is cold out now it will drop when on the highway if it gets to hot replace thermostat it sounds normal to me

actually thats not normal, the t-stat should close when the temp starts to fall. running the engine cold will kill your gas mileage, that thing needs to be replaced.

im having the same problem. i replaced my thermo 4 times 3 with advance thermostats and the final one with a acura oem thermo. i dont know what else to do any suggestions?

1 t-stat being bad maybe, 2 being bad not likely problem is obviously something else, you should start your own thread and list the specifics
