Default re drilling hubs?

i was just wandering if anybody has re drilled there front hubs to change the bolt pattern? i just did it to my rear hubs so i could put the summit brand drag light skinnies on. i just dont know about trusting doing it on the front. and it would have to be drilled perfect. im asking this because if you can re drill them to a 4x1 1/4 there are so many options of wheels and the price diffrence is huge.

Are you using stock hubs or aftermarket like DSS? I've redrilled front hubs on two of my cars. Both were oem hubs drilled to 5 lug on draily driven cars. I had no problems. I used a brake rotor with the correct centric circle to mark my holes. Most rotors have .500" lug holes so I used a .500" drill bit to mark the center then drilled through with a 12mm. Worked perfect. 4 lug should be easier for the fact that you can offset the new holes evenly between the old ones. On oem hubs you my have to dodge the rotor screw holes. The DSS hubs don't have those holes so no worries there.

im using stock hubs. i just talked to my friend today who has a aqua jet. he is going to make me a jig to hold the hubs and to bolt to the stock studs to use as a guide for the drill bit in a drill press. if anybody would be intrested in changing there lug pattern pm me what you would want to change it to and if we get a couple people for each lug pattern i will get him to make jigs for all of them

thank you, looks good.
when you made your jig did you use the hub bore to help center or you use the old pcd and had the new pcd located in between; i.e. your template had 8 holes(4 old pcd and 4 new pcd)? or am i missing something?

i used both. the hub bore centered it and i tightened the jig down on the hub with the old studs. with the rear hubs i had to put the new holes close to the old ones because of the holes to adjust the brakes. my jig actuallly has 12 holes in it so you can do the rear hubs and the front hubs with the same jig. if i can think to get a picture of it i will show you what i mean
