Icon6 98 EK misfiring

Ok, so my car has been misfiring random cylinders. First it was 2 and 4, then 1 and 3, now it is only cylinder #4. I put new NGK spark plugs, good spark plug wires, and replaced the cap and rotor. It has been throwing these codes on and off for the past month. The engine is a D16Y7 Auto.

I went to start my car tonight and the check engine light was flashing (which never happened before) and was idling horribly. Also car has a slight rod knock but it sounded worse.

Any suggestions on what parts to look into that could cause these problems? If I can't find a solution, if you know of any places near NJ/ PA that has good swaps for a reasonable amount, that'd be appreciated.

Test the coil and have the ICM tested by an auto parts store.

update: exhaust manifold is severely cracked and possible that the cat is clogged. Would this cause a misfire as described?
