No start(very strange)
Okay yesterday I left my lights on all day at work, come outside and my battery is dead. Checked it with my ohmmeter and got 1.76 volts so yeah its completely dead. My coworker gave me a jump and I drove home(40 minute drive) and parked the car for the night. My coworker mentioned I should check the water level in my battery. Honestly I have never done that with any of my cars EVER.
So I come out this morning and my car starts on the first turn as usually. So I turn it off and check my water level in my battery and it was actually low. So I filled it to the correct line put the caps back on and the car wouldn't start now, not even turn over. Checked it with my ohmmeter again and the battery read 14.75 volts which surprised me considering I killed it yesterday. So I started checking my grounds and etc...... even tried jumping it.
So I took the battery out my sisters Altima and put it on my car and it started instantly. Her battery read 14.65 volts. So did my battery have a bad cell or did I destroy it when I put water in it? This has been bothering me trying to figure out what the hell I did wrong...

No the car was turned off when I took the reading and I took another reading when I removed the battery from the car. Both batteries were within very close voltage of each other, but my sisters battery instantly started my car.
Batterys can show voltage, and have no current delivering capability.
As stated earlier...adding water likely had nothing to do with the failure.
Get a new one,and you should be good to go.

Yeah I knew it was my battery after I tried my sisters. I'm just more curious as to what happen to the battery. Probably just going to chalk it up as having a bad cell. Battery had a ship date of 2005 so it was probably on the verge of going pretty soon.
My advice would be to just hook a lead up to your sisters car and have her drive behind you wherever you go. then you don't have to buy a new battery and you can use the money you saved to pay for a tank of gas and come hang out. when you get here i will taser you while you are using the toilet by sneaking in to the bathroom through a secret door that is disguised as a wooden wall. i hope this satisfies the (very strange) portion of your thread title.
