Default F20c Dyno Graph AE86 Swap

I recently swapped a JDM F20c motor in my AE86 its pretty much stock...
planning on on doing some mods soon so i wanna see how far i can get...
based on my research the JDM motor CR is a lil higher @ 11.7:1 with a slightly different power curve but yall can check out the graph to see...
AFR's where steady 12.0 up to about 7000rpms then dropped to 11.2 there after then plummeted to 10.5 over 8300rpms

where I am:
201whp
stock ecu for USDM motor with immobilizer removed with CEL for many missing sensors lol

stock exhaust 2" 1/4 with resonator (pretty small)
short ram intake (some knock offs)
walbro 255 intank pump
ACL bearings not installed
arp head n rod bolts not installed either

future plans:
Aem Ems
skunk2 stg 2 N/A cams
toda cam gears ( i realize cams makes no sense without the gears to tune them)
hondata intake gasket
a good exhaust header
3" exhaust no resonator
pulley set
RC 440 injectors
skunk2 70mm TB with ported manifold
1 piece drive shaft
yall thinks its possible to get 240hp to my wheels with this new setup?

$2700 included it being shipped to Jamaica plus paying duties...
engine n tranny cost 1700
btw.... i respect a RB26DETT but how can i re-balance the weight distribution when that setup weighs 200lbs more than the current setup and almost 300lbs more than the factory setup??? that wud make a nice drag car

Nice man, Sounds about right. The fully built F20 swap i did into my buddies corolla put down 215whp, 148wtq. It was a sleeved block w/stock bore, 12.5:1 compression CP pistons, Brian Crower stage 2 cams, stock header running open and stock ecu like you said with check engine light because of missing sensors (doesnt really affect engine performance though) A stock s2000 on the same dyno made 185whp.

Couple vids and any vids of yours?

Oh and his car is now a 2.1L 89mm bore 9:1 compression. The motor dropped a valve because the machine shop didnt install the springs and retainers right on one exhaust valve. Also running on AEM EMS series 2.

Yep Buddyleeae86 ive seen the thread really nice build up but some how i was so disappointed you guys never got to complete building that motor with the pistons n a set of toda cam gears n with ur aem it wud be laying down near 250whp
im trying to get my hands on a aem as we speak....
i read that with the overlap on performance cam for the F20c u definately need adjustable gear to advance the intake cam or else ur losing optimal compression and that why people dont gain much by jus putting in cams

Well it was complete, didnt have gears though. It was making plenty of compression. It broke my 300psi compression gauge when it pegged it. hahaha. Id imagine there is a bit of issue with the Brian Crower cams as i saw many threads saying you needed gears to take advantage.

Again like i said it dropped a valve on the #4, broke the head off it and shattered the piston into pieces. The block was sent back to Golden Eagle to be bored out to 89mm and the highest compression pistons he could get were the 9:1 without having custom ones made.

The only thing with the gears though is on the stock ecu its very sensitive to having the cams off. Even one tooth either on the cam drive gear or on either cam and trust me with a decked block and head its somewhat difficult to tell its back in time when putting it together. One tooth off would just send it into limp mode. After a couple times really eyeballing it it was in time and came out of limp mode. Even then the marks on the cams did not point straight at each other but they were as close as they were gonna be. The drive gear and crank were in perfect time but again the two marks were not perfectly level with the top of the head surface but as close as it could be. Gears would have made it really easy to set to perfect time and probably would have yielded a bit more power. But it put down 30whp more than a stock s2k did so it shows how well it ran.

The only big difference he said is the 2.1L is way more torquey down low but doesnt have near the topend power because of the lower compression.

thnx bro,
saw some guys on s2ki.com pulling 240+whp out of a stock motor which i think is extremely amazing.... i totally agree with u for the need for tha low n mid range ower n torque increase but honestly even today i thought about it while driving home n im rather satisfied right now.... im running a 4.77 final drive n once im in vtec this sucker is pulling..... but i was cruising home and as i passed the gas station i realized i havent been there in a while.... so off vtec im getting great mileage lol so when i get my aem ill jus tune my high cam curve.....
tell buddylee he shud turbo his car now.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYdLb_IuPnc

Yeah he plans on boosting it. That was the whole reason for going with the CP pistons and he also put a set of Eagle rods in there as well. So its good to go for boost definetly. He said the topend is definetly lacking. He pulled on my buddies SR20 swapped s13 with significant weight reduction pretty bad on the original setup. But he cant hit near the top speed he could before.

He got it up to 172mph on the cluster which is about 150 with the FD and tire size difference. At 110 his buddy next to him with a properly reading speedo was reading 98mph. At 60mph on his gauge he is really doing 55. I figure at 172 he is probably in the neighborhood of 150 or so.

After the lowere compression he could only get the car to 160 on the cluster and it took longer to do and was not pulling near has hard topend. He needs BOOST!!!haha
