Default Projekt Kayo, new paint.

Well i'm attempting to paint her.
primered her up and started spraying
going for a flat, very low gloss look.
color i chose is ivory

shes about 75% done with the roof bumpers and hood left.

SPRAY CANS fyi.... not to bad if you have patients im liking the outcome so far.

this is the "primer" that was on it when i got her, i went and sanded that crap off, and resprayed it the primer felt like they went and sprayed the car while their was a windstorm going on in the middle of a dirt field lol , dont have a pic wit her sanded tho

Are you a doctor? :p

Yeah, you should've taken off the moldings at least. But kudos on going black on them. I have a DX and actually PREFER the black moldings and bumpers over body colored. When I got my car painted a few years ago I actually asked the shop to NOT paint my bumpers and I did them myself (got a proper 88-89 front bumper first) with Duplicolor trim paint and they came out looking 100% brand new and have held up great for 3 years now. Since I needed a new windshield, I even cut out the seal/molding around it so they wouldn't have to mask around there and there would be no masking mark once I got my new windshield/seal installed.

I also painted all the window/door trim myself as well as the door handles after getting it back from the shop. All the side door molding pieces I bought new from the dealer. Anyway, just this little extra work really made the job infinitely better overall and I'm glad I took the time to do it.
