This is going to get heated... Maybe. Whats your opinion on the ITR front end? Has the JDM world finally turned ricey? A front end from another car can actually sound ghetto... Is it because of the Vin that it makes an exception? Is the JDM front going to be considered "ghetto" in the next 5 or 10 years?

well, if you go off the bare bones definition of ricey (which is not my opinion, just the definition), any appearance modification is ricey. I like both front ends though.

As I've understood it rice could be any gaudy part added to a car. It's heavily opinion based.

I personally don't think stock parts for stock chassis are rice though. That front end isn't special for the Type R. Only the headlights are IIRC.

 

Exactly my opinion. If its a stock body part on any car of the same make i don't consider it rice.

 

in the pic you have the "jdm conversion" on that car is rice as hell IMO... not using OEM parts for the conversion just doesnt look as clean

 

Liking the RHD w/ the USDM front, don't see that much

 

ITR fronts in the US are like putting a big sticker on your car that says steal me plz

Not ricey at all. After all it's the same make and model, just from a differing market. Ricey is when you convert parts from a different make and model altogether.

Now THIS is ricey:

ricey = a cosmetic modification that does not add to performance, and in some cases, damages it.

so technically, yes, but in my opinion, no, it looks great, its different, and wont hurt your unless you do a shotty job.

I don't think it's ricey, I just think it's overplayed. I mean, practically everyone who has a DC has a JDM front. You get tired of looking at it after you've seen countless Integras in magazines and in the streets with a JDM front. Personally, I like the 98+ front a lot better than the JDM one, but that's just my opinion.

 

i like all the integra fronst to be honest, just depends on the color I guess. Jdm looks good in white, 94-97 looks good in phoenix yellow, 98+ looks good in any color, especialy silver or black.

 

I like both but I would mostly go for a ITR front end
