is this normal? tried the search came up with nothing,
i have a jdm b16a in my hatch jumped to obd1 everything swapped (dizzy, ecu, 4 wire o2) but injectors becuase i had a ls in before and the obd0 injectors ran fine on it when it was jumped to obd1 also, but the car seems to idk.... feels almost like 2 vtecs? at 3,000 rpm's it feels like it gets a small kick of extra power, you can hear it pick up and feel it, then at 5200 rpms vtec kicks in a little stronger than the 3k pickup the motor seems to get, is this normal? i currently am using a chipped p28 that came with the motor, it runs a modded gsr basemap, the knock sensor it bypassed, and 9k redline and thats all i know, could it be in the ecu and its getting extra fuel or getting fuel cut back a little bit at 3k? the motor runs good other than all that but i have to say im a little dissapointed in it at the same time, my ls ran so much stronger attached to my ys1 gsr trans than the b16 does with the same stuff. something just doesnt seem right to me, should i try a stock ecu?
no it seems to pull pretty consistent, and it just kicks like vtec almost but its not vtec becuase that kicks in at 5200, its just random spurt of power for a second
so tonight on the way home from gettin a new tat, my car started to get multiple spurts of power like it lags for a second then picks back up between 2 and 4k so im starting to think ignition coil or plugs and or wires, gonna take a look at everything tomorrow

ok have narrowed my problem down a little bit have checked dizzy changed plug wires, swapped to obd1 injectors and removed resistor box but the car is running lean before and after the injector swap, hooked a air fuel ratio guage and it runs lean until about 4000 rpms but i have fuel pressure at 40 psi already at idle? what could cause it to run this lean in the lower rpms?
