Default vtec kicking at 6000RPM?help plz

i have a ls/vtec and my vtec used to kick in at 4500rmp's and like 3 days ago it started kicking in at 6000RPM's can anyone help me out.... is a obd2

this thread has the makings of fail written all over it.

the vtec crossover point is hard set in the ecu.

since you have an lsv you should have a tuned custom ecu. ask your tuner where vtec was set and you'll have your answer.

If you have a GSR head, you do realize that VTEC is set at 4400rpms. The butterflies then open up at 5800rpms. Maybe you have it confused??

VTEC cannot engage differently. Unless you have no oil/lack of oil, and the oil pressure goes down. This causes the ECU to go into safe mode, therefore, not allowing VTEC to occur at all
