tachmeter question

Default tachmeter question

i did a 5speed swap to my ef hatch and i didnt have a tach on. soo i bought a tach and installed it. my problem is that i know that im reving real high and it only read 3000rpm. whats the problem??

did you set the tach for 4 cyl? its a switch on the backside of the tach.

the tach should have a cyl. setting. really you coulda just found an si cluster and put that one in there. that is if it was the right year of course.

yeah its one the 4cyl setting

ok well what does the tach go up to? how high can you get it to read..if you floor it is 3k the highest itll move?

about 3.5k - 4k rpm

oh i swaped the 5spd cluster over the auto cluster, it just plug and play

The Auto cluster has a tach, I was thinking about getting one and seeing if I could make it work. Is that what you mean you did?
