Default DA front lip question

I was reading here: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...integra%20lips

and found out that a OEM cd5 accord lip will fit my da. My question is, would that mean an aftermarket cd5 lip fit as well? I can get good deal on one from a friend.

aftermarket parts usually take an OEM part for a fitment reference i don't see why it wouldn't work. i would like to hear some more opinions just in case.

Oh they're pricey. My JDP cf lip was $300. Living in crappy *** Connecticut has taken its toll too. In just over a year that lip has taken quite a beating. Now it's scrapped, cracked, chipped. I love the lip and want a new one to replace it, but like I said, they're pricey.

i have the cd5 front lip on my DA. it doesnt fit without modification, you have you cut out a piece in the middle because the DA front end is shorter. so, if the aftermarket one an still be symmetrical with a few inches cut out of the middle itll be fine.

Can you explain this a bit more? what do you mean cut out the middle? I've seen two different things you have to do but im not sure which one is correct. Can you post pics?

Yeah they're expensive. And milwaukee has some of the worst roads possible. At least i live in the good part of town and there aren't too many potholes and loose asphalt.
