Believe it or not, I actually have a NEW IN BOX keyless entry system. OEM acura kit. It was a dealer installed part for 94-98 integras. I bought it a few years ago for an integra that I had at the time. Sold the teg, but never installed the keyless. PM me if your interested in it and we can talk price. It has the remote, as well as all of the components to make it work minus the lock actuators which are cheap anyways. I believe it has the wiring harness too. I will have to look for it and check.

If your looking to retrofit your car you are going to need quite a few components, if you car has power door locks it would be a big help but if you don't have power locks you need to add them.

All of the systems I'm aware factory installed of use RF radio waves to trigger the lock, you can get some remote starter systems that will lock and unlock the doors but then again you need to have power locks, you can install the power opener on the doors if you want to go that far into it.

dont want any cheap crap. i posted in this forum for the new keyed systems. the locks and keyless isnt an issue, machining parts toretrofit cylinders is not a problem either.

my exact question is what controls the keyless (control box or intergraded into radio like EK) And where is it located on the 06 + civics.

i am interested in the keyless for the teg. let me know.

i wokred for an audio ship. did enough keyless installs. i want a factory look. including key and programability.

the car getting retrofitted is a 95 civic and a 73 cvcc

I will look for my kit and try to get a pic. What I have is exactly what you need for the 95 civic. The 73....you are on your own there. BUT the 95 should be a plug & play with my kit.

The control box is under the dash, drivers side. The antenna is built into the rear window, looks more like a defroster line. You can yank the control box, rig up a wire harrness, get the pin out and rig up an antenna, it should work. But my Keyless buttons are on the key itself, maybe it was different with earlier models?

Here is a pic of the key that came with my 2010 Civic, not sure if other years are the same, but i believe they are.

goto Majestic Honda's website to find the part number for the control box. In any case i really doubt you can get the new keys to work on a EG, you could chop the key part off i guess and just use it as a fob.

we are not talking rigging, complete transplant. of keys at least. i work at a machine shop and we do precision work so it should not be too big of a challenge.

did not see any part specific to keyless entry.

a hug is like a kiss, a kiss is like a suck, a suck is like a f%$#.

gimme a hug.

the main reason i am asking is there seem to be more and more 06 newer civics getting parted out on craigslist due to wrecks. this is what sparks my intrest.
