Feels good to be back. I was a member about 7yrs ago, but forgot my acct/email. In the past ive owned 2x 91 Crxs, 1 was a Si. Had lots of mods, amazing car, but crashed it into a wall being young and dumb.

So my buddy has a 91 CIvic hatch forsale, hes in need of some cash so i told him ill take it off his hands. It has the crap d15b2 engine. Im pretty much looking for a cheap engine swap, not looking to do 9s in 1/4 but somethign that can take mods. Any Ideas?

 

D16z6. Bought my last one for $40. Owner said it had a leaking head gasket(leaked oil, not coolant). Turns out the dizzy o-ring was bad. I have bought other Z6's for around $100 in working condition. Figure about $300 for the motor, ECU, and jumper harness. Is that cheap enough for you?

 

I was reading about the Z6 swap. This might be best route to go. Dont wanna get too crazy with mods. I/H/E, maybe some port/polishing,cam,aem gears.

This is going to be a project for me and dad when hes home / car around town.
