Hi, im from Australia and am swapping a b18c into a 88 ef.
Problem is that the Australian delivered d15b4 engines in our EF and even early EG models have dual carburettor fuel systems, so it is at this point I am stuck with what wiring harness to use.... I have a DC2 donor car so all wiring from that car is right here. But I have read in places that it is best to keep the existing harness. So if anyone could help me that would be great. Please dont just say search because I have and I cant find anything about changing from a d series carbed engine to a B series OBD2a engine.
Also if I do swap the wiring harness for the one from the dc2 then will the speedo cluster and all still work?
Thanks in advance.

whats a carb?
man idk you may be better off swapping your current ef harness with one that is already MPFI. which means you would need the cabin harness and engine harness from a mpfi ef. but i dont know man, we dont have carb'd ef's here

All I have to say is that if you have a carbed car, you might as well use the DC2 harness if you have the full thing. It will be a huge PITA to get everything working properly in the carbed car because it is so different, wiring wise, from the EFI 88-91 found most everywhere else.
Normally, the answer would absolutly be to use the existing wiring harness, as it normally means adding several wires and that's all. In your circumstance, it makes no sense as almost none of the wiring will overlap in any useful way.
Use the DC2 harness and the DC2 stock computer, and get a guage cluster for the DC2 car as well. it will be more of a PITA to get the EF guage cluster working, as it uses mechanical input from the trans as well as a signal from the distrubutor that is provided from the ecu rather than the distributor in OBD2 cars, I believe.
good luck..
