I can get either one of these exhausts for very low prices at a local shop....if u can have either one of these which one would u take? please state why and how the muffler sounds (loud/quite, low/high pitch etc....)

 

t1r is loud. very loud. it's deep. it pops a lot. i have to use ear plugs on the track. silenced, it's very bearable and streeble. netted me about 7whp and 5wtq

 

How does the T1R compared to the Tanabe RM? Do you have any experiences with the Tanabe RM?

 

nope. but i hear the TRM is pretty loud, but i can doubt it is close to being as loud as the T1R. i have heard the TRM on a GSR w/ a jackson racing high flow cat, it's pretty deep and throaty, but nowhere near as loud as the T1R. also, B2 said the spoon N1 sounds very similar to the T1R, a little more high pitched during VTEC and a quieter idle. other than that, he said it's pretty close. LOUD!

the spec3, T1R, and the Spoon N1 are extremely loud. your ears will ring afterwards(unsilenced of course).

The T1r is a full 2.5" exhaust. The Tanabe RM is 2.25" catback.

 

not true. the T1R is a 2.36" ID cat-back and 2.5" OD. it also does have a 2.00" bottle neck at the connector from the b-pipe to the axle back.

Dave(smsp) said ther are no true 2.50" ID cat-backs unless custom made OR the kakimotos have a true 2.50" ID(but the resonators on the kakimoto looks extremely restrictive).

Eh...I can live with those minor bottlenecks. Good enough for me...

Spoon n1 is definately almost the same sounding. A tad bit quieter at idle and more "racey" sound during vtec.

I bet the T1R flows a bit better than the Spoon though.

yeaup, that's my T1R in all those videos. as i said, i have to use ear plugs with it uncorked. once the exhaust heats up, it's gets EXTREMELY loud. i.e. the track.

 

The BC spec 3 is pretty frickin loud without the silencer. much louder than my spoon n1 was.. i rather liked my spoon to be honest.

I personally love my BC Spec III. Less than 15 lbs, and extremely free flowing. Guess what? It's for sale, too!

No it is not.

TypeOne in Japan is a shop that carries spoon items. They do not actually make anything. T1R by AJR is a line of products that just carries the TypeOne name.

 

where's the kakimoto N1 damnit?!

 

where's the muffler on that sucker? lol. that thing looks.. like the BC spec 2. NO MUFFLER. that thing must be loud.

 

i really like the hks hiper, looks good, deep soounds, not loud at all
but dunno the performance of it.
