extending harness, advice needed
hey guys, i just finished a swap and went from an h22a4 to an f22b dohc. the coolant sensor or fan switch, whichever one it is, is too short. it is right above the upper radiator hose near the Intake manifold. the connector is only about 4 inches short or so. I was told that it is much easier to just cut the tubing open that holds the harness, and i would be able to unravel the wire inside and pull some slack out so the connector will reach. is this true? i only ask because the harness i have right now has been modified by rywire in the past and i would hate to mess anything up, costing myself more $$$. anyone with experience please chime in. thanks.

I doubt ther there is wire just "coiled up" inside the harness brother, Your best bet is going to be cutting the harness and soldering/heatshrinking on the amount of wire that you need...DONT USE BUTT CONNECTORS and DONT just wrap and tape
