Default Do I finally pull the trigger and stick my neck out for the one

Car in question
2002 s2000
35,000 miles
original owner
Does a car like this come up that often?

-The current cars
Modded 2006 Evolution IX MR.
1997 civic coupe a/t

Bought both cars outright, I would take out a mini loan for this one though (which I have never done, but I feel this would be a great car to keep... forever. Its not modded 1 owner car. I feel if i pass this up i will never find one like this again.

There are definitely cars out there like that. Take mine for example. It's a 2004 and only has 25k on the clock. I am the original owner of it. Mine is now modded though. But I plan on keeping it for a long time.

I have seen a couple around my way that were:

2001 Sebring Silver
27,000 original miles
1 Owner
and he was only asking $12,0000

and the other was

2003 Silverstone
38,000 original miles
1 owner
and was asking $11,000

So the answer to your question: YES! they are out there, and you got very lucky to be able to come across one. Because of the cross in paths between you two, fate says to get it

yeah s2000s have a dedicated following so there are plenty of owners out there who try to keep their car immaculate and barely driven. I'm one of them ;]

2006, one owner, 9k miles. Plently around still. Another forum has a lowmileage badge. tons of people on that list. Although it will no doubt get harder and harder to find nice low mileage examples for sale plus many will be keepers for us! If you really like that one dont let us stop you. get the car!

Very low miles can be a bad thing. An 01 with 20,000 miles could have been sitting for months or years without being driven throughout the past decade, and I wouldn't want that. I see many very clean looking salvaged cars that are half a decade old with the mileage of a one year old car, because they sat around a yard for a couple years before being professionally rebuilt and put back out on the road.

That being said, yeah I wouldn't necessarily put my neck out on the line for one and unnecessarily pay interest on one unless it was in an effort to snag up one last hidden CR to cherish and love for eternity or something.

If the only item on your list is clean and low miles, that can always be found with a reasonable search taking weeks or months but nothing out of the ordinary, they aren't going to be impossible to find in a year. It could take me many months to find a clean one owner 10 year old honda civic in all of california.

Want to sell it, or trade for a 22K mile '00 ITR?

I've actually just begun looking for an ultra-low mileage S2000 as I think I've decided to sell the R. Good to know there are still S2000's out there with no mods and low mileage.
