Icon2 99 Honda CRV Maintenance Q's

Hello Everybody I have a 1999 Honda CR-V With 93k Miles on it and I am getting ready to get some work done on it but wanted to get some people opinions before I do so. I took it to a Honda dealership and had them do a full inspection and as expected they said it need tons of work done on it. They wanted to change several of the belts and the radiator hoses (cracked) and that wasn't too outrageous of a price so I was thinking of doing that. The timing belt and water pump was $680, surprisingly cheaper than a couple of other places so I was thinking of doing that soon instead of waiting till the 105K miles. The vehicle makes a creaking noise when going over bumps and I was told that it was the bushings. They wanted $350 for the front and $475 for the rear with alignment. The creaking noise comes from the front right and I had struts changes 30K miles ago. What is the outer CV boot kit? My rear differential has a very slight leak and of course they want $2500 to replace the whole thing which im not going to get done. Can I just have the fluid replaced and/or can it be repaired elsewhere? Is a coolant flush and transmission fluid change really necessary? I know I probably sound like a rookie compared to many of you guys but I just want an honest opinion on what work needs to be done to keep my CRV up and running for many more miles! I appreciate in advance any responses I get.

Note to self....DO NOT take my CR-V to the stealership!

Sorry I can't answer any of questions or offer advise, as I just recently purchased a 98 for my 16 y/o..I'm just here reading threads and seeking information.

One thing I did do is have the TB, Water pump and Tensioner changed. Also the valves were adjusted at the same time. You just let me know I got a good deal at $575 Thanks

so you paid $575 for all that work? Did you just get it done at a local garage?
